Cheryl
A. Spector, AIA
- principal
Cheryl A.
Spector is a licensed architect and LEED
Green Building Rating Sytem™ 2.0
Accredited Professional. Her diverse experience
over the last 16 years has allowed her to
develop specialties in sustainable design
and development, affordable housing and
historic preservation.
Experience
In addition
to establishing her own firm, Cheryl has
served as Associate Director for the Colorado
Center for Community Development at the
University of Colorado, Denver. In this
role she provided research and technical
assistance for project development, funding
and implementation on community projects
throughout the state. She has also served
as Design/Development Director for Northeast
Denver Housing Center, a non-profit, affordable
housing community development corporation.
Education
and Involvement
Cheryl is
active in the U.S.
Green Building Council and serves on
the Colorado Chapter Steering Committee.
She received her Architecture Degree from
the University of Texas and her Master’s
in Architecture from the University of Colorado,
Denver. She also worked in Mexico City at
the international Architecture firm of Legorreta
Arquitectos prior to moving to Colorado
in 1989.
